Important End of Year Updates

Good afternoon Devil Ray families!  Thank you all for a fantastic season!  Individual swimmers' times have dropped; team records have shattered; and most importantly, there is a lot of fun happening on deck and in the pool! We have three important events coming up:

- Donut Day on Saturday morning, July 26:  Join us for this long-running Devil Rays last practice tradition!  After swimming some regular practice laps, the coaches will join the kids in the pool for relay races in inflatable donuts and some silly jumps!  After practice, stop under the pavilion to celebrate the last practice with donuts and milk!

- Last Meet on Monday, July 28:  Make sure your swimmers are signed up for our last meet of the season, where we host the Whitmoor Country Club Waves.  Devil Ray swimmers should arrive at the pool at 5 p.m. for stretching and warm-ups.  Celebrate your swimmers' accomplishments and improvement with a treat from Lulu's food truck!  Each summer, Lulu's donates a portion of the sale proceeds back to our team, and we are so grateful for their support!

- End of Year Party and Dive-In Movie on Sunday, August 3:  Please be sure to RSVP on Swimtopia (just as you would for a swim meet) for our season-ending soirĂ©e!  The Frog Pool will open at 6 p.m. for a private swim party.  The Parent Board will provide pulled pork and hot dogs, and is asking all attending families to sign up to bring a side dish via Sign-Up Genius. (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0A4AA5AC28ABFA7... The link is also posted on the Parent Facebook page and will be sent out in this week's newsletter.  Then, between 8:15 and 8:30, we will start our movie, so be sure to bring your personal flotation devices for the show!

Finally, we encourage everyone to just keep swimming!  Online registration for Summer 2026 will be done through Swimtopia for returning swimmers and their siblings.  Registration will open in January 2026.  If your swimmer(s) are also interested in a fall/winter indoor team, there are several options.  Three local teams are the O'Fallon YMCA Sea Dragons, the St. Charles YMCA Stingrays, and the St. Peters Rec-Plex Sharks.  Information for those teams can be found on their websites, and registration/evaluation generally occurs in early to mid-August.  Some of the Parent Board's kids and the coaches have competed or currently swim on these teams.  Additionally, some local swim schools and the Renaud Center offer swim team preparation classes in the spring to help swimmers transition back into the pool.  If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask one of us!

See you at the pool!
